Significance: This study suggests that 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the lifespan of males. Together, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing “1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D or its analogues” may function as a longevity promoter.
