Citation: Boominathan, MiRNA-based cancer therapeutics: MiRNA-1192 decreases proliferation, invastion and metastasis via up regulation of tumor suppressor PTEN, 12/October/2014, 11.06 am, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: PTEN is the second most mutated gene in human cancer. MIRNA-1192, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it could induce the expression of PTEN. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MIRNA-1192 or its activators“ can be used to treat PTEN-mutated human cancers.
