Nobel laureate Beutler B has conducted a genetic screen to identify a role for Nfkbid, Zeb1, and Ruvbl2 in humoral immunity (Arnold CN,.. Beutler B, PNAS, 2012). In relation to this finding, Dr Boominathan, Director-cum-chief scientist of GBMD, reports that p53 regulates B-1 B/T-cell development, germinal center formation, and memory B-cell responses via its target miRNA.
