Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Neurotensin, by increasing the expression of its target genes, it may inhibit the expression of “Two RING fingers DRIL1″. Thereby, it may inhibit the suppress the expression of tumor suppressor p53. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Neurotensin inhibitors” can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors.
