Significance: This study suggests a natural product-based life extension therapy. 3,6-dihydroxyflavone (3,6-DHF), by increasing the expression of expression of its target gene, it may suppress Ribosomal protein S6 kinase 1 (p70S6 Kinase) expression. Thereby, it may promote (1) resistance to bone, immune, and motor dysfunction; and (2) insulin sensitivity. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “3,6-dihydroxyflavone (3,6-DHF) or its analogues“ can be used to extend the lifespan of an individual.
