Significance: This study suggests that miR-382, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the transcription of tumor suppressor p53. Furthermore, this study suggests a therapeutic strategy as to how human cancers with intact p53 can be treated. Together, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-382 activators” may be used to treat human tumors with intact p53.
