Significance: This study suggests that 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may rescue pulmonary arterial hypertension. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D or its analogues“ may be used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension.
