Citation: Boominathan, Vitamin-based therapy for cancer: Sunshine Vitamin suppresses the expression of AML1 and MMP-13 via up regulation of its target gene, 15/February/20145, 19.47, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Sunshine Vitamin, by decreasing the expression of its target genes, it may inhibit the expression of AML1 and MMP-13. Thereby, it may inhibit the migration and invasion of cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “toxiferol or its analogues” can be used to inhibit the progression of metastatic human tumors.
